West Ham United duo Joey O'Brien were two of the starting XI who faced Fulham in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the Boleyn Ground on Thursday afternoon.
Both players have seen there playing time limited due to injuries picked up at the start of the season yet are ready again for first team duties and could face Everton on Saturday 22 November.
Speaking after the game, O'Brien, the 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international, said: "It was good to get some minutes on the pitch. I haven't played that much lately, neither had many of the lads out there. Playing a match gives you something different to normal training."
Looking ahead to the Hammers' next game away at Goodison Park, O'Brien continued: "It's a hard one, Goodison is always a hard place to go to. But listen, we're sitting fourth in the league and they'll be saying the same about us.
"The international break is one of those things we just need to deal with. Being fourth is no fluke as we're eleven games into the season. We've had a few international breaks already this year and they don't seem to have affected us, hopefully this one won't either."
England international Matt Jarvis had an excellent game against Fulham, proving to be too much for the Fulham defence to handle as he set up Ricardo Vaz Te for the Hammers' opener.
"I felt good out there," the No7 said. "It's nice to get some minutes in and to get an assist was also nice. We know Everton will be a tough game but the team is doing extremely well so hopefully we'll continue that run."
"It's been a great start to the season. We'll get a bit of a rest and then hopefully continue our good run of form against Everton."
