Michail Antonio, James Tomkins and Angelo Ogbonna met fans at the Liberty Romford store signing
Christmas came two days early for numerous West Ham United fans as James Tomkins, Angelo Ogbonna and Michail Antonio headed to the Club’s official store in the Liberty Romford shopping centre for a player signing session.
Hammers fans young and old posed for photographs and got autographs from their claret and blue heroes.
With three games coming up in just eight days over the festive period, the trio took the time to make this Christmas that extra bit special with some of West Ham’s most ardent fans.
Speaking after the event, Michail Antonio said: “It was a really good opportunity to go and meet some of the fans to show them the same kind of support they give us every week.
“I really enjoy these events; it’s one of those things growing up as a kid I would’ve loved. The opportunity to meet your footballing heroes is a special thing, so to be part of that, especially at Christmas, is very special.”
Avid West Ham fan Megan Carter, was thrilled to meet the trio: “Meeting the three players was very exciting, and a really cool experience. My Dad is a Season Ticket Holder; sometimes he sacrifices his seat for me.
“I’ve got my own Season Ticket for next season which I am very excited about. I haven’t been to the new Stadium yet but it looks really cool.”
Fellow youngster Owen Kantwell, a Season Ticket Holder in the Bobby Moore Upper with his brother Zak, was equally excited to meet one of his idols: “It was amazing; James Tomkins is one of my favourite players so it’s a good early Christmas present.”
