Australian side Perth Soccer Club will play Stirling Lions SC, raising awareness for the DT38 Foundation
West Ham United are delighted to support the launch of the Dylan Tombides Tribute Match hosted by Perth Soccer Club.
The Australian outfit, known as the Azzurri, will play Stirling Lions SC, in support of the DT38 foundation, the charity set up in Tombides’ name. The tribute match takes place this Sunday 7 June at their home ground Dorrien Gardens, kick off is 3pm local time.
Prior to joining West Ham United in 2010, Tombides, who was born in Perth, played for both sides before signing for the Hammers.
Dylan’s mother and DT38 Foundation Founder, Tracylee Tombides, spoke of her delight: “The tribute match means a lot to the foundation and to Taylor, Jim and I personally.
“It raises awareness about Dylan’s story and the need for self-awareness and early detection. It encourages our young men to take their health seriously."
The President of Perth Soccer Club, Gary Marocchi, described his pride at being able to raise awareness for the DT38 Foundation.
“Perth SC is honoured to be involved in the annual tribute match with Stirling Lions FC on Sunday 7 May to pay tribute to the life of Dylan.
“The annual match between two of the junior clubs that Dylan played with, raises the awareness of testicular cancer amongst the community.”
