When it comes to unsung heroes in the West Ham United teams over year they don't come much bigger than Alan Dickens who played a major role in helping the Hammers record their highest ever finish in the top flight back in 1986.
All the headlines may have surrounded the partnership between Tony Cottee and Frank McAvennie in the Hammers attack while Alan Devonshire and Mark Ward played a major role in helping the team finish third in a memorable campaign.
But you only have to talk with the captain of the side Alvin Martin, who says the stand out player for him was the midfield master Dickens who showed his goalscoring ability as well as creative vision to set up so many goals for the formidable Cottee/McAvennie partnership.
West Ham TV caught up with the 51-year-old who is a now London Taxi driver and drove around the streets of the Boleyn Ground to get his views on a historic season for the Club.
The Boys of 86' are back for the Newcastle game on Monday night and Dickens is relishing the chance to meet up with his former team-mates and reminisce about a superb campaign.
