Josh Cullen joins Reece Burke on loan at the Bantams
West Ham United's highly rated midfielder Josh Cullen has joined League One side Bradford City on loan initially until Saturday 12 March.
The 19-year-old Hammer, who can play as a holding midfielder as well as a number 10, joins West Ham teammate Reece Burke in West Yorkshire.
The Republic of Ireland U21 international has enjoyed a breakthrough season having made his first team debut during the club’s Europa League qualification campaign before making his Premier League debut in the historic 3-0 win away at Liverpool at Anfield.
Since then, Cullen has established himself as regular in the first team matchday squad, being named on the bench multiple times while his all action performances for the Development Squad have caught the eye.
Having signed for Phil Parkinson’s side, Cullen is expected to go straight into the Bradford squad for Saturday’s game away at Peterborough United, where he could line up against Hammers’ teammate Martin Samuelsen.
Alongside Burke and Samuelsen, Cullen joins a number of exciting young players out on loan gaining valuable first team experience which includes Diego Poyet, Lewis Page, Stephen Hendrie, Kyle Knoyle, Elliot Lee, Tim Brown, Sam Westley, Clarke Bogard and Ross Elsom.
