The West Ham squad watch on as the Betway Academy reaches its climax at Upton Park
After an inspiring team talk from Slaven Bilic, it’s finally time for West Ham United IFC to take to the turf at Upton Park.
In the first part of the series’ final episode, we saw the amateur side arrive at the famous home of the Hammers where none other than Slaven Bilic was waiting to give them a rousing team talk.
But now, after five weeks of preparation under the watchful eye of former Academy Director Tony Carr, it all comes down to this. The part-timers are ready to take on Watford IFC in a match they would have been dreaming about their whole lives.
West Ham stars including Mark Noble, Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini watch intently as the amateurs show off what they have learned during their Premier League makeover.
But coach Carr has a tough team talk on his hands as they fall a goal behind just before half time.
Will they hit back? Or will weeks of training end in heartbreak at Upton Park?
