The poll to gauge supporter feedback on a proposed charity game has concluded
The result of the poll to gauge supporter opinion on a proposed fundraising game for the West Ham United Ladies at the Boleyn Ground on Sunday 5 June is in.
Nearly 12,000 supporters voted in the poll, which ran for 24 hours until midday on Sunday, with 52% voting in favour of the game taking place and 48% voting against it.
The organisers had been keen to determine whether fans supported the idea or whether they would prefer last Tuesday’s fixture against Manchester United to be the final public game at the Boleyn Ground.
Due to the slim majority, the organisers will now discuss the results in more detail before making a final decision on whether the game takes place.
