Highlights - Nott'm Forest 1-2 West Ham United PL2

Nottingham Forest 1-2 West Ham United PL2

FT:
Confirmation that Jahmal Hector-Ingram got the final touch on West Ham's first goal!

FT: And there's the whistle! It's two out of two in the Premier League Cup in group E for the Hammers, who secure tonight's victory thanks to two Marcus Browne goals - or did Hector Ingram get the first?! We'll soon clear that up, but the result is the important thing, and the visitors get all three points! Raphael Spiegel deserves a mention - his saves were crucial. Onto the next one!

90+2: Massive save from Spiegel once again! Otim drives forward and gets one-on-one with the keeper, who stands up tall to deny the forward. Marvellous trio of saves that man's made tonight!

90: Three minutes of added time to be played - come on you Irons, let's hold onto this!

87: Tunji Akinola comes on for Dan Kemp.

86: GOALLLLLLL for the Hammers! It's Browne again - he slots home a rebound after Domingos Quina's initial shot is saved. Get in there!

81: Close from Browne! His direct free-kick from the right curls *just* over the keeper's crossbar. Forest get away with one, there.

79: What a save from Spiegel once again! Otim breaks down the right and strikes low and hard to the Swiss keeper's right, but the big man gets down extremely well and tips it wide. Still level!

74: Second sub for the Hammers and another forward is introduced to play alongisde Hector-Ingram. Sam Ford comes on for left-back Vashon Neufville.

69: Close for Forest! Otim volleys one just wide from the edge of the area. This game has really started to open up!

65: Great chance for Quina! Noha Sylvestre is released down the right hand side and he squares it for Quina, who fires well over from close range. That was a great opportunity for the visitors to take the lead!

61: Sub for the Hammers. Djair Parfitt-Williams comes on for Diangana, who has taken a knock.

58: Great stop by Spiegel! The stopper gets a firm hand on Brereton's attempt - hit with power - to tip it over the bar as Forest break!

58: Browne hits it at the wall. Corner.

56: Superb by Quina! Some fancy footwork lets him skip past three challenges before winning a free-kick right on the edge of the D. Great chance from the set piece!

55: Charlesworth drives forward for Forest from right-back, but smashes one well over from range. Up the other end, Browne is released down the right but hits his attempt straight at the keeper who holds well.

54: Some lovely football from the visitors gives Kemp a chance to cross from the right, but his chipped centre goes straight to the Forest keeper.

49: Grady Diangana cuts in from the right and fires a left-footed attempt just over with power. That looked as if it took a deflection, but the ref points for a goal kick.

46: We're back underway here in the second half. There is still some discussion about who that goal went in off...some think it was a Forest defender, and others are saying Jahmal Hector-Ingram got the final touch! We'll try and get that confirmed.

HT: So that's it for the first half. Browney's late strike levels things up. To be fair to Forest, they took the lead against the run of play but had started very well and could have been two up after ten minutes. Plenty still to do for the Hammers in the second half but they're much better off after the equaliser.

43: GOALLL!!!!! They certainly can! Marcus Browne, driving into plenty of space ahead of him, strikes one from 25 yards, and with the aid of a deflection off Jemson, it wrong-foots the keeper and we're level. Great stuff from Browney!

42: Just a few minutes remaining during the first half on this chilly evening in Alfreton. Can the Hammers conjure anything up before the break?

38: Bit of a hard one for the Hammers to swallow, that. They've been by far the better side after a shaky opening ten minutes. Work to do.

35: Goal for the hosts. An unmarked Brereton heads in from eight yards, past Spiegel who was helpless. The striker was unmarked in the box.

33: Brereton is released on the right hand side of the box, but his shot is easily saved by Spiegel. Forest's first chance of note in the last 20 minutes.

31: Superb from the Hammers. Great passing leads to another corner. Browne swings it in from the left, and Kemp re-delivers it from the right. Hector-Ingram goes close with a header, but his attempt is blocked. Still goalless.

29: Penalty shout for West Ham again! Great work by Hector-Ingram releases Diangana, and he's taken down in the box. The referee signals for a corner, though. It didn't look like the defender got much of the ball, there.

26: West Ham have found their flow a little better now. They're starting to put Forest under some pressure with their possession-based game. Neufville and Diangana down the left look extremely dangerous.

22: Chance for Alfie Lewis! The youngster works some space on the edge of the area before swiping one wide with his left foot. He was in a decent position and will be disappointed with his effort there.

18: Dan Kemp, who just had a strong penalty appeal waved away, swings in a cross which flies just wide after taking a nick of a defender. Close!

16: It falls for Rice in the box, but his fierce attempt is blocked well. That was goal-bound!

15: The effort goes just high and wide, but with the aid of a deflection. Corner.

14: Marcus Browne draws a foul on the left hand side, about 25 yards from goal. It's a tight angle, but possibly a chance to shoot.

12: Some decent work by Grady Diangana down the left gets him to the byline, but his cross is cut out inside the six yard box. More promising from the Hammers, for sure.

10: Hector-Ingram holds the ball up top to allow West Ham a breather, as a couple of free-kicks are also won. I think the visitors will have realised by now that tonight will be no walk in the park!

8: Mistake by Vashon Neufville allows En-Neyah to steal possession and he wins a corner. Forest almost score from the delivery, and then the ball breaks to Toby Edser who hits one inches wide from 20 yards. Forest have started extremely quickly here.

6: The next one is far more dangerous, and Charlie Jemson should probably score. He comes steaming in and volleys one well over from six yards.

5: Elvis Otim strikes one for Forest, 25 yards from goal, but it hits Alex Pike and heads out for a corner. The resulting set-piece is nodded out for a second home corner in a row.

4: Decent start by the Hammers so far who have broken down the right hand side a couple of times through Marcus Browne and Dan Kemp. It's a chilly evening and some fireworks in the area feel like they're raining down on us!

1: We're underway in Alfreton! The ball heads straight out for a Hammers throw-in.

6:55pm: The lads are out and ready to get the game underway here in Alfreton! Come on you Irons!

6:45pm: We've been told that Alfreton were voted to have the best pitch in the National Leagues, so their surface isn't what you come to expect from a non-league side. It's beautiful and should hopefully allow the Hammers to play their fast, fluid football. Forest are the tier below West Ham, so let's hope for a good result tonight!

6:15pm: Good evening! Terry Westley's men are in action this evening against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League Cup, the competition the Hammers triumphed in last season.
