West Ham United’s 2017/18 campaign formally gets underway on Wednesday when the first group of first-team players report back to Rush Green for pre-season training.
While those involved in international action during the summer have been handed an extended break and will report for duty at a later date, manager Slaven Bilic will welcome back a significant number of his squad, including new signing Pablo Zabaleta, captain Mark Noble and the likes of Michail Antonio, Angelo Ogbonna and Andy Carroll as they continue their recovery from injury.
New Head of Medical Services Gary Lewin, who has already spent much of the summer at Rush Green planning for the return of the players and assisting those continuing their rehabilitation, will oversee the thorough medical testing that plays a big part on the first day of the pre-season programme.
The players will all be working in the new range of Umbro training wear - now available exclusively from our official online store.
