On Saturday 20 May, Josh Cullen will turn out for Bradford City against Millwall at Wembley in the League One Play-Off Final for a place in the Championship ahead of the 2016/17 season.
The midfielder, who has been on loan with the Bantams from West Ham United this season, was recently voted Players’ Player of the Season at Valley Parade on the back of a shining campaign that has seen him represent Stuart McCall’s men no less than 45 times so far.
There were also three more awards for Cullen after his season of eye-catching displays, including the club’s Social Media Player of the Year accolade.
But no prize for the Republic of Ireland U21 international was more rewarding than Bradford’s Semi-Final two-legged victory over Fleetwood Town, secured thanks to Rory McArdle’s first-tie strike a fortnight ago.
And now, Bradford City – one game away from restoring their second tier status – are relying on the likes of Cullen to fire them to Wembley glory over south Londoners Millwall.
Several weeks ago, Cullen invited West Ham TV up to Yorkshire to come and see how he was getting on with the Bantams.
