West Ham United ambassador Carlton Cole will be in Essex this coming Sunday afternoon to greet supporters at a special festive event raising money for the SNAP Children’s Charity.
The former striker will be at the Shenfield Christmas Fayre between 12pm and 3pm, where you can find him at the Santa's Grotto, sponsored by Rainer Hughes Solicitors in aid of SNAP, signing autographs, posing for photographs and handing out gifts.
Carlton’s appearance is part of our recently-launched initiative The Players’ Project – the most ambitious and integrated community programme ever created by a Premier League Club.
The Players’ Project is a key part of West Ham United’s commitment to creating opportunities, delivering a sporting legacy and changing lives in the community. Crucially, these projects will deliver tangible, measurable results that show West Ham United really is making a difference to the community who support us in London Stadium.
SNAP is an Essex-based charity supporting families with children and young people who have a special need or disability. SNAP’s aims are to inform, encourage and support parents and carers so that they can grow in strength and knowledge and become better equipped to give the best possible help to their children. The Shenfield Christmas Fayre is a real community affair with lots of local business involvement and community groups. School choirs, amongst other performers, will treat audiences to fantastic songs, and bands and singers will keep the festive cheer flowing as visitors enjoy mulled wine and local produce.
