Manuel Pellegrini welcomed Jack Wilshere to West Ham United’s training camp in Switzerland on Tuesday morning as the Club’s latest signing got down to work straight away with his new team.
Wilshere completed his move to his boyhood club on Monday, putting pen-to-paper on a three-year deal to become Pellegrini’s fourth signing of the summer.
The 26-year-old cannot wait to get stuck in with the Hammers and his manager is thrilled to have brought him to London Stadium ahead of a keenly-anticipated campaign.
Pellegrini is sure the Hammers will benefit hugely from Wilshere’s presence, as he brings a wealth of experience to the team after featuring in numerous international and Champions League games.
He said: “We are very happy to welcome Jack to West Ham United and look forward to working with him, starting at our training camp here in Switzerland.
“Jack is a player with excellent technical ability, combined with great energy and commitment, and has proven his quality both in the Premier League and at international level.
“Most importantly, he is hungry to play for West Ham, and determined to reproduce the level of performance that he has shown in the past.
“At 26, he still has many years of football in front of him, and I believe he will be a great asset for us.
