  1. Chicharito’s strike against South Korea on Saturday was his fourth at FIFA World Cup finals – that took him level as his country’s all-time top goalscorer at the tournament, alongside namesake Luis Hernandez, who scored four at the 1998 World Cup in France.
     
  2. The Hammers striker’s World Cup goals have been spread across three tournaments, a feat only accomplished by three fellow Mexicans – Cuauhtemoc Blanco and one-time Barcelona defender Rafael Marquez.
     
  3. By scoring against France at the 2010 tournament in South Africa, he followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, who notched against Les Bleus in the 1958 tournament in Sweden.
