West Ham United's official eSports player, Jamboo, has conveyed his excitement at participating in Dugout's Mini eDugout Cup, with the FIFA18 player competing for the opportunity to play against another Dugout member in the final.
Jamboo will represent the Hammers in Thursday's knock-out tournament - playing against Ligue 1 club Lyon, FC Basel of the Swiss Super League and La Liga's Espanyol, in a competition hosted by Dugout.
The winner of the competition will go on to play another member of the Dugout community in the fina..
"As with every competition, it's an honour to represent West Ham United," Jamboo told whufc.com: "I know I'm in for a tough tournament. Basel have an excellent FIFA player at their disposal, while in Rafsou and Cocovbastos, Lyon also boast two very good FIFA players. Espanyol are also strongly investing in their eSports set-up, so I'm playing against some of the best in Europe.
"It be a difficult challenge, but the chance to play against an eMLS player at the end is an awesome opportunity. I'll have to be at my very best to get it through."
