Aaron Cresswell is aiming to end the season on a high when West Ham United welcome Everton to London Stadium on Sunday.
The Irons will play Sam Allardyce’s side in their final match of the campaign, and head into the contest on the back of two clean-sheets and four points earned with a victory over Leicester City and draw against Manchester United.
Cresswell has called on the team to take that form into the last game of the season, as David Moyes’ side look to finish the campaign with maximum points.
“It’s the last game of the season but from our point of our view we’re not looking at it as the last step before a holiday,” Cresswell told whufc.com: “We want to push up the table and try to finish the season on a high, because it hasn’t really been good enough, so that’s what we want to do.

“We haven’t been good at times this year but I think if we get three more points on Sunday then that could potentially push us up to tenth. We will stay positive and see what happens.”
The No3, who has seven assists in the Premier League this season, is eager for his side to replicate the defensive display that West Ham showed against Manchester United when Everton visit London Stadium this weekend.
He added: “Taking the positives out the match with Manchester United, it was a clean-sheet and another point on the board.
“They’ve got some fantastic players throughout the whole squad and we kept them quietly mainly throughout the match, and now we want to finish on a high against Everton and hopefully get three points.”
Cresswell has further assured supporters that the team is completely focused on besting Everton and ending the campaign with smiles, before preparing to return for the new season after the summer.
“No one wants to finish the season with the attitude that because we are now safe we’re just going to give up,” Cresswell added. “That’s certainly not the mentality these lads have got, and we’ll be fully focused come Sunday.
“It wasn’t good enough at times this season, we know that, but we will go away for the summer and come back fully charged, and we’ll be looking ahead to the new season.”
