West Ham United Ladies welcomed 1,333 supporters to Rush Green for Sunday’s season finale celebrations against QPR Ladies.
The Irons beat their opponents 7-1 in their final match of the campaign in the glorious sunshine at Rush Green Stadium, while the fans in attendance enjoyed both the game and the pre-match festivities.
Supporters were invited to meet members of the Ladies team, as well as club legend Sir Trevor Brooking and former striker Carlton Cole, while also taking the opportunity to have photos with the FA WPL Plate and Goodmove.co.uk Women’s Cup, which the side won earlier this season.
One of the most important things for us, this year and next year, is firstly to get more people to come and watch women’s football, and then also to give something back to the community.

Plenty of activities – including inflatables, foosball tables, and a creative corner – ensured a fun afternoon for all that attended, culminating in the Ladies’ dominant victory over QPR.
Managing Director Jack Sullivan was delighted with the success of Sunday’s event and is eager to continue to provide affordable football for attending fans.
“One of the most important things for us, this year and next year, is firstly to get more people to come and watch women’s football, and then also to give something back to the community,” Sullivan told West Ham TV.
“I think, to give someone an opportunity like this today, to bring their kids for free if you’re a Season Ticket Holder or Claret Member, is fantastic. It’s something that we’re going to try and do next year, and keep it affordable so we can get as many people here as possible.”
The fantastic support for the West Ham Ladies has been a vital aspect of the success achieved by the side this season, something Sullivan was keen to recognise on Sunday.
“The fans have been fantastic this year. We’ve got one of the biggest attendances in our league, and they’ve been so supportive.
“We look to attract as many supporters as possible so come down if you can. To the people who give up their time and come down and watch, it is really appreciated."
