Aaron Cresswell says West Ham United are seeking a repeat performance of last weekend’s win over Burnley when they head to Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
The left-back celebrated his return to the starting XI by playing his part in the Irons’ most-dominant display of the season so far, as Felipe Anderson, Marko Arnautovic and Chicharito got the goals on an entertaining afternoon at London Stadium.
Next up for the Hammers is a trip to the John Smith’s Stadium to face a Huddersfield team which has won just once and scored just five goals and conceded 21 in eleven Premier League outings this season.
If we can get the wins and push ourselves further up the table, there’s no reason why we can’t go on a good run

“Their results and position in the table might suggest they’re easy to get at, but no game is easy in the Premier League, especially away from home, so we’ll see what happens,” said Cresswell.
“We will go to Huddersfield with confidence, of course, especially after the first half against Burnley at the weekend with the chances we had, we should have had a penalty with Grady [Diangana being fouled by Steven Defour] and we had chances cleared off the line, we could have been four or five goals up at half-time.
“Personally, it’s been a bit stop-start with injuries so it’s nice to be back out there.”
After Saturday’s trip to Yorkshire, West Ham have a weekend off before rounding out November with the visit of Manchester City to London Stadium.
Following that, December contains no fewer than seven Premier League fixtures, with six of them against teams currently below the Hammers in the table.
For Cresswell, the month represents a real opportunity to pick up a lot of valuable points.
“Everyone knows in England that December time is crazy with the fixtures, so if we can get the wins and push ourselves further up the table, there’s no reason why we can’t go on a good run.
“The games come every few days for a solid three or four weeks and it’s a vital part of the season.”
One player who will be key to West Ham’s chances of kicking on will be their hero of last week’s win over Burnley – two-goal left winger Felipe Anderson.
Cresswell had a grandstand view of the Brazilian’s performance and is excited by the prospect of the club’s record signing showing his best form as the season progresses.
“A lot of people won’t see Felipe Monday to Friday and what he does in training,” said the No3. “Especially coming from Brazil and coming from a totally different league in Serie A, it definitely takes some time to adapt.
“With the money in the game these days, when you come with a certain price tag, you don’t get that time, but on Saturday he was fantastic, both providing and scoring goals, and hopefully that can continue.”
