Lucienne Reichardt is targeting a return to action for West Ham United ‘as soon as possible’ as the midfielder continues her comeback from a foot injury.
Reichardt sustained a fracture in her foot earlier in the season and has been unable to feature for the Irons, as Matt Beard’s side come to grips with life in the FA Women’s Super League.
The 27-year-old is continuing her rehabilitation and is back running, with Reichardt eager to step out in the Claret and Blue again at the nearest possible opportunity.
I’m working hard to get back as fast as I can. I’m eager to get back as soon as possible.

“Unfortunately, I’m still injured and I need to be a bit patient.” Reichardt told whufc.com. “My rehab is going okay though. I’ve started running again and I think I’m on my way to coming back.
“I still need to be patient because I don’t want to cause any further damage by going too hard in my rehab.
“I’m finding it frustrating but I’m working hard to get back as fast as I can. It’s hard to say how much longer I will be out but I’m eager to get back as soon as possible.”
Although the Hammers were beaten 2-0 by Chelsea in their last fixture, Reichardt can see a lot of positives from recent performances, and believes the side has been playing well enough to have more points on the board.
The challenge now, according to the midfielder, is ensuring wins in the coming weeks.
Reichardt continued: “We are seeing that the team is creating chances and playing for each other. We all know each other much better and you can see we are growing.
“I personally think our performances have deserved more wins and more points on the board. The next step is to get those wins.”
