West Ham United fan Andrew Tomlinson will certainly never forget his wedding day.
For not only did the American Hammer marry the love of his life Alyssa Wolice in Washington DC, but he kicked-off proceedings by watching his beloved team defeat Manchester United 3-1.
Tomlinson’s unique day was captured by the Premier League and official broadcast partner NBC Sports, who accompanied him to a fan fest in the US capital.
“It’s just a regular day, other than getting married in the afternoon!” Tomlinson told NBC’s Rebecca Lowe. “Alyssa pressured me to come to the fan fest. She said there was no way I could miss it!”
Tomlinson and Wolice even received a good luck message from West Ham captain Mark Noble before walking down the aisle. Once they had exchanged nuptials, the smiling newlyweds posed with personalised Away shirts.
As the Premier League USA tweeted, some marriages are iron-clad!
