Head to London Stadium early on Saturday to back our Walking Football players in their own derby duels against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Basset & Gold Walking Football Tournament will take place from 11.45am on Saturday, with supporters able to access the site from 11am, pitting supporters from both sides against each other on the London Marathon Community Track pitch, adjacent to London Stadium.
For the first time this Saturday, women’s Walking Football players will be joining the action, with the Hammers taking on Spurs in both male and female categories.
The action will continue until 12.45pm, with the tournament winners invited pitchside at half-time for a presentation.
Darryl Geerawo from the West Ham United Foundation said: “Walking Football is a fun way to stay in shape, be healthy and make new friends in a football environment. It’s worked really well so far.
“Everyone is extremely thankful to Basset & Gold for the support they have given because these kind of events on matchdays wouldn’t occur without that support.”
Daniel Smith, of the club’s Official Investment Partner and tournament sponsor Basset & Gold: added: “Basset & Gold stands for doing something differently and walking football promotes that within itself.
“It has great benefits within the community and getting them involved in events like this.
“Our client base are predominately pensioners, so for us it is very important to stay close to that community and give something back to them.”
