Jane Ross insists the three points West Ham United collected away to Everton Ladies on Sunday mean more to her than scoring her first FA Women's Super League goal of the season.
The Scottish international was on hand to expertly head home on 27 minutes on the rebound, after the Hammers found themselves a goal behind after five minutes at the Merseyrail Community Stadium courtesy of Claudia Walker's scrambled finish.
The Irons then secured the win thanks to Alisha Lehmann's driving effort from the edge of the penalty area, earning West Ham a victory on the road in the league for the first time this campaign.
I've been waiting a while for my first league goal now, but the three points was the most important thing.

Although Ross was naturally delighted to get on the scoresheet, the attacker found more positives in the win secured by her team.
"We knew it was an important game for us against Everton and we knew we needed to put in a performance," Ross told whufc.com. "We played brilliantly as a team.
"I've been waiting a while for my first league goal now, and I'm happy to get on the scoresheet today. First and foremost though, the three points was the most important thing, and I'm really glad we got them."
The Irons lined up with three central defenders for Sunday's fixture, with Ria Percival linking with Gilly Flaherty and Vyan Sampson in the back-line, while Netherlands international Esmee de Graaf and Erin Simon played as wing-backs.
Ross added: "I think Matt [Beard] deserves credit for the formation we set up with. He got it right on the day and we looked a lot more solid and organised defensively, which allowed us to then push forward and attack when we got the ball."
The No9 took time to praise fellow attack Lehmann for her finish, and is delighted that the side were able to get back to winning ways, having suffered back-to-back defeats in the previous games.
Ross continued: "Alisha is a talented young player, with a lot of potential, as today's goal showed. She's performing well.
"We were going into today's game on the back of two defeats so we knew it was a game we needed three points from. We went into it with a bit of pressure. We knew we had to win and to so so was really satisfying."
