West Ham United were not satisfied despite beating Millwall Lionesses 4-0, which shows the character of the team, according to Brianna Visalli.
Three goals in the opening 12 minutes on Sunday – courtesy of Esmee De Graaf, Visalli and Rosie Kmita – set the Hammers on their way to a second consecutive win the FA Continental Tyres Cup.
De Graaf then added a late second for herself and West Ham’s fourth, poking home in the 86th to secure the result and the points.
However, Visalli feels the side could have scored more goals and should have been more dominant which, the midfielder says, shows how the team are never completely satisfied with their performances.

“It was awesome to be three up after 12 minutes,” Visalli told whufc.com. “That’s something we’ve been working on, because we normally start games a bit slower. Having that lead in the rest of the first half was really good.
“To be honest, despite the result, I’m a little frustrated, because I feel like we had more chances that we should have put away. However, that probably shows the character of this team.
“We’re never satisfied with just getting the result. We want to get more and that’s in this team’s DNA.”
Visalli’s strike from the edge of the area was the American’s second finish of the season, having also found the net against Arsenal.
The midfielder was delighted to again get on the score-sheet and how the team has been developing in the past few weeks.
Now Visalli wants to see the side continued to build when they welcome Reading FC Women in the first FA Women’s Super League game of the season on Wednesday.
She continued: “I was thrilled with the goal I scored but I also missed a sitter, which is frustrating!
“It’s really exciting though. You’re seeing a lot of what we’ve been working on come off today. We showed today how we’re progressing and how the process works. It was a good day, result-wise.
“We got the job done and we got the clean-sheet, and that’s really positive stuff. Now we’ve got to build on that.”
