Grady Diangana was named in the EFL Team of the Week, following a game-changing introduction to life at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Playing away at Luton Town, the West Ham United loanee came off the bench at half-time to make his debut for the Baggies. Diangana soon set about making an immediate impact, scoring twice within three minutes for Slaven Bilic’s side.
Having first made space for himself to power home from 25 yards into the bottom corner, the attacking midfielder was then quick-off-the-mark to head home an opportunist goal when a deflected shot popped up invitingly for the 21-year-old.
West Brom saw out a 2-1 win which saw them rise to third in the Championship, and Diangana’s efforts were justly rewarded with a place in the EFL Team of the Week.

Sead Haksabanovic was also in fine form over in Sweden’s Allsvenskan, scoring one and assisting another in Norrkoping’s 2-0 victory over IK Sirius.
The 20-year-old playmaker, who notched an assist last weekend, had a shot blocked inside the area before following up to prod past the keeper in the 67th minute.
With the clock running down, Haksabanovic then ran forwards and teed up Karl Holmberg on the break to settle the contest.
The result saw Norrkoping move up to sixth in the Allsvenskan, six points behind AIK Gothenburg, who sit in third and occupy the final Europa League qualification spot.
Back in the Championship, Josh Cullen was involved in the build-up to Charlton’s first equaliser as the Addicks fought hard to draw 2-2 at Barnsley.
The central midfielder played the full 90 minutes at Oakwell Stadium and put in an assured performance, providing a through-pass which was crossed in and then converted by Conor Gallagher with five minutes left of the first half.
Elsewhere, Jordan Hugill suffered a frustrating afternoon for Queens Park Rangers away to Bristol City, his side falling to a 0-2 defeat.
Hugill came close on several occasions, particularly when City’s goalkeeper tipped his header over the crossbar in the second half, but was ultimately frustrated.
In League One, Nathan Trott enjoyed a commanding league debut in goal for AFC Wimbledon as the Dons claimed their first point of the season at home to Accrington Stanley.
The pick of Trott's saves was a fingertip stretch to deny Courtney Baker-Richardson’s header, but the young Bermuda-born goalkeeper was later beaten by Colby Bishop as the south London side were held to a draw.
Finally, Martin Samuelsen made a late cameo off the bench in FK Haugesund’s 2-1 win over Valerenga, which boosts the Norwegian side up to eighth in the Eliteserien.
