West Ham United midfielder Robert Snodgrass has been included in the Scotland squad for UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers with Russia and Belgium.
The 31-year-old received his call-up from former Hammers assistant manager Steve Clarke, who was appointed Scotland boss in May, and returns to the squad for the first time since September 2018.
Snodgrass has 26 senior caps and seven goals to his name since making his debut against Northern Ireland in February 2011, including a memorable hat-trick in a FIFA World Cup qualifier in Malta in September 2016.
He returns to the Scotland squad with the Tartan Army desperate to overcome an inconsistent start to their Group I campaign, which saw them lose to Kazakhstan and Belgium and defeat San Marino and Cyprus.
Snodgrass and his teammates will welcome Russia to Glasgow on Friday 6 September before hosting Belgium at Hampden Park on Monday 9 September.
Realistically, Scotland need to avoid defeat by the Russians to maintain their hopes of finishing in the top two and qualify automatically for Euro 2020.
However, after being promoted from UEFA Nations League C Group 1 last year, Scotland are assured of a place in the play-offs, which will see four countries from each of the four Leagues play-off in March 2020 for the last four places at the tournament.
