West Ham United women's team are delighted to confirm the signing of England U20s international Grace Fisk.
Defender Fisk makes the move to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League from the University of South Carolina and will wear the No22 shirt in Claret and Blue.
In joining West Ham United, Fisk begins her career as a professional football player after graduating in December, subject to international clearance.
“I am so excited to join West Ham United” the 21-year-old said. “Once I came and had a look at the set up here, I know straight away that this was where I would want to come and play.
“I’ve been impressed with what I’ve seen from West Ham in the first half of the season. There’s some real quality in this team and some nice, friendly people as well. I can’t wait to get started.”

Head coach Matt Beard is delighted to add Fisk to his West Ham squad, having monitored her development since his time coaching in America.
“Grace is a player who I've watched and tracked since my time with Boston Breakers and I am delighted she has decided to join us at West Ham,” Beard said. “She is a young, very talented defender with a maturity far beyond her years and she is already recognised within the England set up, such is her ability.
“I am looking forward to working with her for the remainder of the season and beyond.”
Born in Bromley, England, Fisk moved to the United States of America and was a student with Penn State University, playing for them in 2016 season.
Fisk moved to the University of South Carolina in 2017 and immediately established herself in the heart of the South Carolina Gamecock defence.
The 2018 campaign wielded numerous awards and accolades for the young English defender. The season started with Fisk representing her country at the U20s Women’s World Cup, where the Lionesses claimed a bronze medal.
Fisk’s outstanding season continued with the defender being named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year. She was also included in the All-SEC First Team, the United Soccer Coaches All-America Second Team and on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch list.
The youngster was named Gamecock captain for the 2019 season and helped the side to claim the SEC Tournament Title, the fifth overall in the side’s history, while also being named the Most Valuable Player. Fisk’s leadership and defensive attributes helped the side to go the entire competition without conceding a single goal.
Fisk ended her final campaign with the South Carolina University as the United Soccer Coaches Scholar Player of the Year – the first student-athlete in the University’s history to receive the honour.
Everyone at West Ham would like to welcome Grace to the Club and wish her every success for her career in Claret and Blue.
