Declan Rice has become the latest West Ham United star to earn a spot in the FIFA 19 Team of the Week after scoring his first Hammers goal against Arsenal.
The Irons youngster – who turned 20 on Monday – celebrated his birthday in style, helping West Ham to a 1-0 win at home to the Gunners on Saturday with his maiden finish for the side, curling home from the edge of the area to secure all three points for Manuel Pellegrini’s team.
It was yet another impressive showing from Rice, who agreed a new contract until 2024 with the club last month, and the defensive midfielder has been rewarded by EA Sports with his inclusion in the latest Team of the Week.
Rice is the third Hammer in the last three weeks to be included in FIFA 19’s weekly squad of football’s best performers, with Marko Arnautovic and Felipe Anderson also included in the previous two editions.
Rice’s newest FIFA 19 card gives the No41 a rating of 77, a significant rise from his initial 69 when the game first hit shop shelves.
