West Ham United women are delighted to welcome It Takes A Village as the team's new International Charity Partner.
It Takes A Village are passionate about supporting women, both here in the United Kingdom and abroad, in ensuring pregnancy and childbirth are safe for every mother.
With Tuesday marking #InternationalFriendshipDay, we are delighted to welcome It Takes A Village into the West Ham United women's family for the 2019/20 campaign.
Unfortunately, too many women across the world still needless die in childbirth because they do not have access to the medical care they need to welcome their child into the world safely.
It Takes A Village works tirelessly to bring together parents, organisations and healthcare professionals to ensure pregnancy is a safe and joyous time for any expecting mother. This includes providing training for local health professionals, emergency transport for mothers in labour, as well as supporting health facilities in hard to reach areas across Africa, Asia and Latin America.
