Fabian Balbuena has linked up with his compatriots after being named in Paraguay's preliminary squad for this summer's Copa America.
The West Ham United defender was selected in the 39-man squad by manager Eduardo Berizzo and was one of 20 players to take part in a training session at the High Performance Center in the city of Ypané, 20 miles from the capital Asuncion, on Monday. The centre-back will take part in a double training session on Tuesday.
Balbuena, who has eight caps, will also hope to make the final cut when Berizzo selects his final 23-man squad for the tournament, which kicks-off in Brazil on 14 June.
If he does, he will be involved in a warm-up fixture with Honduras in his home city of Ciudad del Este on Wednesday 5 June.
Paraguay take on Qatar in Rio in their opening Group B fixture on Sunday 16 June before tackling Argentina in Belo Horizonte and Colombia in Salvador on Sunday 23 June.
Balbuena would be West Ham's sole representative at the Copa America, should he make Berizzo's final squad.
Manuel Lanzini and Carlos Sanchez have not been included in preliminary squads named by Argentina and Colombia respecitvely, while Felipe Anderson has been left out of Brazil's 23-man selection.
