Sebastien Haller has wasted little time in settling into life with West Ham United since his summer move from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Frenchman has scored four goals in his first eight Premier League games, making a huge impression as the spearhead of Manuel Pellegrini’s attack.
Haller’s adjustment to the Premier League has been seamless – but perhaps that should come as no surprise given this is already the fourth country the 25-year-old has played in.
After starting off with Auxerre in his homeland, Haller moved onto Utrecht in the Netherlands before hopping across the border to Germany and Frankfurt. Now, he is enjoying what London has to offer – and even more so because he is scoring goals in a Claret and Blue shirt.
“I’ve settled well,” he explained. “A lot of people have helped me to feel good here and it’s a new city and a new routine and with time it’ll be even better.
“I have a good impression of London. I only came here one time before signing, when I played for Eintracht against Chelsea, but it’s a nice city. I like to discover new things. It’s not a problem for me and my wife to change countries [and settle quickly] because we like to travel, we like to experience different cultures.
“I think it’s nice for me to discover the Premier League with an ambitious club. A lot of things, all together, made my choice to come here.”

West Ham welcome Sheffield United to London Stadium on Saturday looking for a return to winning ways following last weekend’s defeat to Everton, and Haller is determined to ensure that will be the outcome.
“I think we had a good start," he reflected. "Now we’ve lost two in a row but I’m sure about the quality of my teammates. Now we need to be focused on getting better. Mentally we’re ready to fight, to win the game, and we’ve got to go and get the results.
“We need to improve ourselves, give the maximum and we know in England everything is possible. We can beat every team but every team can also beat us. We start every game with the ambition to win, and with this mentality we have to use every game to improve ourselves and be better.
“It’s a really difficult game this Saturday. We’ve watched some matches and of course as a player you follow the Premier League. Every weekend you have some surprises, and you know they are a dangerous team.
“We will prepare like any other game, we don’t underrate any team. It will be a really tough game and we need to be at our best to win it.”
