West Ham United women announce new Official Technology Partner

West Ham United women’s team are delighted to announce Vanquish Tech as the club’s Official Technology Partner.

Vanquish Tech is a value-added hardware, Software and Managed Service Provider that offers Industry-leading technologies to businesses internationally. Its private cloud platform provides Production, Backup, DR & Archive as a service in a consumption-based model.

Having been a partner of the men’s team since December 2018, Vanquish Tech is now extending its partnership with West Ham United to the women’s team as it continues its journey in the FA Women’s Super League.

The partnership sits alongside Vanquish Tech’s work with the Spinal Injuries Association – the charity which offers support and information to people with spinal cord injury – and has seen them distribute free tickets to SIA members to West Ham women’s matches.

West Ham United women’s managing director Jack Sullivan is delighted to welcome them on board.

He said: “I’m thrilled that Vanquish Tech has become the Official Technology Partner of the club. They want to continue the great work they’re doing with the men’s and bring it over to the women’s team.

“We’ve got nine of the men’s partners on board with the women’s as well now which shows they’re seeing great value in both teams and want to be more involved with West Ham United.

“We’ve got great partners who want to be invested in pushing the women’s team forward and the more money we can bring in and the more support we can get, the more we can grow and hopefully be challenging the top teams, driving up the table and reaching more FA Cup finals.

“Vanquish Tech are a great company and we’re extremely grateful to have them on board.”

Simeon Taylor, Vanquish Tech CEO, added: "We’ve been a partner of the men’s team since the beginning of this year which has been a really exciting journey for our business. West Ham has an amazing sense of community, so naturally, we have progressed to supporting the Women’s team.

"We feel it’s a great opportunity for us to represent our brand alongside this great club while committing to support them from an IT perspective wherever we can, across both the men’s & women’s teams including the foundation.

“We are excited about Jack’s ambitions for the club which will see the team competing in more FA Cup finals and reaching the top spot in the WSL.

“We’re the first technology partner to be involved in sponsoring a Women’s Super League team which we are very proud of. We look forward to supporting the team for the next two seasons”.

West Ham United women’s captain Gilly Flaherty spoke of her excitement at working with Vanquish Tech.

She said: “It’s massive for us. The more partners we can have on board the further it will help us push on and again it’s great exposure for the women’s team.

“We haven’t got separate sponsors and it’s great that there’s sponsors from the men’s side that want to come on board with us.

“It creates that family and one club ethos and we’re still West Ham regardless of whether we’re the women’s team or men’s team. We all come under the same umbrella and any help they can give to help push us forward is greatly appreciated.”

That sentiment was echoed by midfielder Tessel Middag. “Sponsors see the value in women’s football because it is a growing market,” she explained.

“It’s getting more and more popular every year, in two years’ time the Euros will be held in England so I think a lot of sponsors are recognising the momentum women’s football is having at the moment. For us it’s a win-win situation.

“To be able to compete at the highest level with our opponents is what we want – we want to be one of the best in the league and we need sponsors to help us achieve our goals, so it’s great that Vanquish Tech are on board now, not only with the men’s team but also specifically for us.”
