David Moyes has been shortlisted for the Premier League’s Barclays Manager of the Month award for October.
Moyes led West Ham United through a difficult-looking fixture list that featured four of last season’s top six, collecting five points in the process.
Under the Scot, the Hammers defeated Leicester City 3-0, drew 3-3 and 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City respectively, and were narrow 2-1 losers at champions Liverpool.
The 57-year-old has won ten Premier League Manager of the Month awards during his successful career, ranking him third behind only Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger.

October kicked-off with a superb win at King Power Stadium, where West Ham produced a fine all-round performance that featured well-taken goals from Michail Antonio, Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen and a first Premier League clean sheet of the 2020/21 campaign.
Even more impressively, Moyes masterminded the comprehensive victory over the Foxes from home, where he was self-isolating following a positive COVID-19 test in September.
He returned to the dugout at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where his second-half substitutions sparked an historic comeback. Three goals in the final nine minutes, capped by Manuel Lanzini’s last-minute strike, saw the Irons secure a dramatic point in north London.
The Hammers made it four top-flight games without defeat with another impressive display against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at London Stadium.
Antonio was on target again during a superb first-half performance, before the defence and goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski took centre-stage after the break to secure a creditable point.
And Moyes’ side went close to extending that unbeaten run to five at Anfield, where the Irons took a first-half lead through Fornals’ goal and were only denied a draw by a controversial Mohamed Salah penalty and Diogo Jota’s late winner.
