West Ham United manager David Moyes says Michail Antonio continues to make progress in battling back from the hamstring injury he suffered at the end of last month.
The Hammers No30 has missed the team's last three matches with the problem, but has returned to the training pitches at Rush Green as he edges closer to a comeback.
Moyes is thrilled to see Antonio back on the grass, but was also quick to praise the form of Sebastien Haller, whose goal at Sheffield United last week ensured the Hammers returned from the international break with three points.
With West Ham hosting Aston Villa at London Stadium on Monday, Moyes is sure the competition for places all over the pitch will continue to push his team onwards.
"Michail has joined in training for a couple of days and we're trying to see how his hamstring is," the manager confirmed.
"It's just great to get him back out on the training pitch with us at the moment.
:We want competition for places and I think we've got that now. We've got a few people who are queuing up waiting to break into the team.
"We're really pleased with what Seb's done in the three games since Micky Antonio has been out. We want goals from him, we want assists and we want a lot of good general play.
"We've got good competition, there'll be times when we can play the two of them together, there'll be times when we don't so I look forward to having them both firing."
