West Ham United’s fixtures in Group D of the 2020/21 FA Continental Tyres Women’s League Cup have been confirmed.
The Irons will be taking on fellow Barclays FA Women's Super League sides Reading and Brighton & Hove Albion in Group D, with Championship team Charlton Athletic completing the Group.
Matt Beard's team will open the 2020/21 competition with an away test against the Seagulls on Wednesday 7 October at Broadfield Stadium, with kick-off set for 7:30pm.
A home match against Reading, at Dagenham & Redbridge Stadium, will follow for the Irons, with kick-off again set for 7:30pm on Wednesday 4 November.
The 2020/21 group stages will end for the Hammers on Wednesday 18 November with a 7:45pm kick-off away against Charlton Athletic at The Oakwood.
The 2020/21 FA Continental Tyres Women's League Cup will see clubs in the Barclays FA Women's Super League and the FA Women's Championship split across six groups. The top team from each group, along with the two best performing second-placed sides, will qualify for the quarter-finals.
The Hammers and Reading were also drawn in the same Conti Cup group last season, with Alisha Lehmann scoring the only goal of the game in a win for West Ham United at the Madejski Stadium.
The Swiss forward was also on the mark in West Ham’s last match with Brighton & Hove Albion, scoring twice in a comeback 2-1 victory against the Seagulls in January.
The Irons’ last match against Charlton Athletic was played in December 2018 in the Continental Tyres League Cup group stages, with Lehmann and former West Ham captain Rosie Kmita securing a 2-0 win.
