Performances don't come much better than West Ham United's demolition of Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday night.
That was the verdict of Jarrod Bowen, whose brace set the Hammers on the way to their 4-0 victory, giving them a first three-point haul of the campaign.
Bowen felt the four goals his team stuck past an overworked Rui Patricio was just reward for a London Stadium display full of attacking intent.
Just as important for the 23-year-old was the Hammers' work off the ball, and he was full of praise for his teammates at the final whistle.
"It was the perfect performance for us, and something we needed after the first two games," he explained.
"The work rate off the ball by the lads, and being so hard to beat stood out for me tonight. Keeping the clean sheet was vital and the fact we scored four goals was big for us too."
Bowen's brace, scored either side of the interval, opened his account for the campaign.
His first, a bending left-footed shot past Patricio and into the far corner, was a hallmark of his goalscoring in the Championship and he was delighted to bring that to the top flight stage.
"I prefer to come in on my left foot," he added. "I saw the gap and thankfully it went in the far corner, so I was buzzing about it.
"Probably the only disappointment was that I didn't get a hat-trick! I just misread the ball and it came off their player's knee, but I was buzzing to get the two goals."
The most important thing was the result, however, and Bowen feels the first victory of the campaign, on the back of successive positive performances, will be a huge confidence boost for the team.
"It is big," he smiled. "The first two games of the season we wanted to get points and we felt we were unlucky against Arsenal. Newcastle we weren't good enough, we all knew that. We reacted against Arsenal and should have got something out of the game.
"Tonight was another reaction we needed because we didn't want to go three games without a win. The boys stuck at it, we did ever-so-well and to get the three points was massive."
