On this day in 2018, Kate Longhurst made the move to east London from Liverpool.
The move was a dream come true for Longhurst, who is a lifelong fan of the Hammers along with her whole family!
The midfielder has played 50 matches since arriving, scoring two goals in the process – both of which came in her debut season.
The combative midfielder gives her all whenever she is out playing in the Claret & Blue shirt, Longhurst played every minute in the WSL when Olli Harder arrived in late December, proving herself to be a vital cog in the manager’s style of play.
The 32-year-old embarks on her 15th season as a player and will be hoping to inspire he side to a strong start when the campaign gets underway in early September.
