Update on supporter access for the 2021/22 season

West Ham United can provide an update to supporters regarding their access to London Stadium on matchdays for the 2021/22 season.

Continuing to work in line with Premier League protocols and guidance, anyone attending a fixture should be prepared for a check of their COVID status, whether that be by displaying proof of full vaccination or a negative lateral flow test in the 48 hours prior to kick-off. Supporters should note a COVID certification check could become mandatory as of 1 October, as per an indication from the Government.

The Club encourages supporters to download the NHS app to demonstrate that status, as well as considering their journey to London Stadium, including arriving at least an hour before kick-off.

For at least our first two home fixtures, against Leicester City and Crystal Palace, Season Ticket Holders will receive an email from the Club with their ticket(s) included and will be able to access London Stadium via the following ways which cater for all:

  • Download your e-ticket to your smartphone or relevant device for scanning upon entry
  • Print your e-ticket at home from any computer or device
  • Head to a clearly designated and exclusive window at the Ticket Office at London Stadium 90 mins before kick-off to receive a paper ticket printed by the Club
  • Special arrangements will be in place for any supporters who are not able to utilise one of the methods above. Simply contact the Ticket Office on 0333 030 1966, select ‘Option 2’ and the Club will personally ensure that your individual needs are met

Should you wish to take up the final two options above, please arrive early at London Stadium and the Club will endeavour to print your ticket as quickly as possible to ensure your smooth entry to the Stadium.

In line with guidance, the Club is working towards the implementation of a digital ticket solution and, in due course, all Season Ticket Holders will be able to download a seasonal digital pass to their smartphone in order to gain access to London Stadium on matchdays, with the aim to have this in place soon after the opening home fixtures of the campaign.

The digital pass will only need to be downloaded once for the 2021/22 campaign and will replace existing Season Ticket access cards and paper tickets for all home fixtures, including UEFA Europa League and domestic cup ties. An email will be sent to all Season Ticket Holders that includes all the information they need to download their seasonal digital pass.

The Club is also conscious that a small number of Season Ticket Holders may not have access to a smartphone and we will continue to be inclusive and make sure we do everything we can to support all of our fans. Those Season Ticket Holders who do not have access to a smartphone will be able to request a physical Stadium access card with their photograph on. More information on how to request this will be sent directly to Season Ticket Holders via email.

This has been achieved by consulting with the Independent Supporters Committee and taking on board supporter feedback regarding views on their return to matches, including on digital ticketing and solutions for supporters.

The return of our supporters to matches has been a welcome sight for everyone at West Ham United, with the Club continuing to work in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders, while adhering to evolving Government and Premier League guidance.

This enables the Club to put an efficient and effective plan in place, including the continuation of a Code of Conduct which can be read in full here, to prevent the spread of the virus and, above all, ensure the health, safety and comfort of all of our supporters at London Stadium. The protocols within the Code of Conduct are subject to change to reflect the latest guidance from the Government and Premier League.

We are fully prepared for the return of our fans and remind all that we have a collective responsibility to keep one another safe. We are all familiar with protocols and urge everyone attending to continue to act responsibly. Thank you for your continued co-operation.
