Jesse Lingard featured in FIFA Team of the Week

Jesse Lingard's debut delight at Villa Park has earned the West Ham United forward a spot in the FIFA 21 Team of the Week.

The England international becomes the sixth Hammer to receive the accolade this season. It is also the eighth occasion this season where a West Ham player has featured in the FIFA 21 Team of the Week.

Against Aston Villa last Wednesday, Lingard was handed his first Premier League start of 2020/21, just five days after joining on loan from Manchester United.

The 28-year-old had quite the impact, scoring twice on the breakaway to secure a 3-1 victory and earn rave reviews in his first appearance in a West Ham shirt.

In keeping with teammates Jarrod Bowen, Lukasz Fabianski, Vladimir Coufal, Angelo Ogbonna and Tomáš Souček (the latter two both being upgraded twice), Lingard has received an in-game Team of the Week ‘in-form’ card.
