West Ham United can confirm that Alfie Lewis has joined League of Ireland Premier Division side St Patrick’s Athletic on loan until 26 June 2021.
The 21-year-old midfielder will be looking to acquire valuable first-team experience with the Saints, whose season – spanning Spring to Autumn – begins on 19 March with a Dublin derby away at Shamrock Rovers.
Lewis joined the Academy of Football at the age of eight and has been a mainstay of the Academy’s professional sides in recent seasons, with six goals and two assists in 70 appearances for West Ham’s U23s to his name.
He will now enjoy half a campaign under the tutelage of St Patrick’s Athletic manager Stephen O’Donnell, who will be looking to build on last season’s sixth-place finish in the Republic of Ireland’s top tier.
Everybody at West Ham United would like to wish Alfie all the best for his loan spell.
