Jesse Lingard has been recognised for making an outstanding start to his West Ham United career by being shortlisted for two awards.
The Hammers No11 has scored three goals and registered two assists in his first five appearances in Claret and Blue since completing a loan move from Manchester United at the end of January.
And the 28-year-old’s fine form has been rewarded with nominations for the EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month and PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Player of the Month awards for February.
The England international kicked-off his West Ham career in sensational style with two goals on his debut in a 3-1 win at Aston Villa on 3 February, before helping his side earn a hard-fought point at Fulham three days later.
Lingard’s hot streak continued with an assist for Declan Rice’s opening goal in a 3-0 victory over Sheffield United on his home debut on 15 February.
He found the net again six days later with a superbly taken winner in the 2-1 derby success against Tottenham Hotspur at London Stadium on 21 February, before completing a memorable month by assisting Michail Antonio’s equaliser in the 2-1 defeat at Manchester City on 27 February.
Only Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, with four goals and three assists, had more direct goal involvements in the month than Lingard.
Fernandes is among seven other players nominated alongside Lingard, with the shortlist being completed by Fulham defender Joachim Andersen, Leeds United forward Raphinha, Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes, Manchester City duo Joao Cancelo and Ilkay Gundogan and Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves.

Always smiling and ready to mark his goals with unique celebrations, Lingard’s popularity means he has also been nominated for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award.
Lingard is shortlisted alongside Gundogan, Barnes, Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw and Leicester City midfielder James Maddison.
