Jesse Lingard nominated for Premier League Player of the Month... Again!

Jesse Lingard celebrates at Wolves

West Ham United forward Jesse Lingard has been shortlisted for the EA SPORTS Premier League Player of the Month for the third month in a row!

The 28-year-old has been recognised for his outstanding performances in April by being nominated, having previously been done so in both February and March.

The England international continued his superb loan spell with the Hammers by scoring four goals and assisting a fifth in four Premier League appearances in April.

Vote for Jesse Lingard now!

Lingard kicked-off the month with a sensational display in the 3-2 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he opened the scoring with a wonderful individual goal that saw him run from inside his own half before beating Rui Patricio with a left-foot finish.

He then played his part in Pablo Fornals’ second, running onto Aaron Cresswell’s pass before beating Nelson Semedo with an outrageous piece of skill that teed up Arthur Masuaku to cross for the Spaniard to score.

And the No11 completed a memorable evening at Molineux by carving through the Wolves defence on another unstoppable run before playing Jarrod Bowen to smash home the Hammers’ third goal.

The Manchester United loanee was at the double in West Ham’s next game, a 3-2 home win over high-flying Leicester City.

Lingard opened the scoring with a wonderfully taken first-time shot from Vladimír Coufal’s right wing cross, before doubling his tally and the hosts’ lead by rolling into an unguarded net after Bowen had beaten the Foxes’ offside trap and drawn Kasper Schmeichel.

He found the net again in the third game of the month at Newcastle United, too, smashing a penalty in off the inside of the post to complete the ten-man Irons’ comeback from two goals down at St James’ Park.

That game may have ended in a 3-2 defeat, and the final game of the month may have also ended in a 1-0 loss at the hands of Chelsea, but Lingard still had an April to remember.

His fellow nominees are Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, Leeds United’s Stuart Dallas, Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood, Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho, West Bromwich Albion’s Matheus Pereira, Newcastle United’s Allan Saint-Maximin and Burnley’s Chris Wood.

Voting closes at 6pm on Monday 10 May, so cast your vote for Jesse now by clicking here!
