David Moyes names an unchanged starting XI from last weekend’s Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur for Sunday’s away fixture at Aston Villa.
West Ham United go to Villa Park seeking a third straight Premier League victory and a fifth consecutive win in all competitions since the October international break in what is Moyes’ 999th senior match as a manager.
After making a host of changes for the midweek Carabao Cup fourth-round penalty shootout win over Manchester City at London Stadium, Moyes reverts to the same team which started the win over Spurs in Birmingham.
So, Łukasz Fabiański starts in goal behind a back four of Ben Johnson, Kurt Zouma, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell.
Declan Rice captains and anchors the team from his usual central midfield position, playing alongside fellow Hammer of the Year winner Tomáš Souček.
The attacking midfield positions will be filled by Jarrod Bowen, Saïd Benrahma and Pablo Fornals, who have all been in good form during West Ham’s strong start to the 2021/22 campaign.
Michail Antonio will seek to continue his own outstanding run of performances as he leads the line, fresh from being rested for the midweek Carabao Cup fourth-round win over Manchester City and his winning goal at home to Spurs a week ago.
Vladimír Coufal is again named on the substitutes’ bench, having returned from injury after a three-match absence in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup penalty shootout success. Harrison Ashby is the player not involved.
For Aston Villa, there is no Danny Ings nor Douglas Luiz, while England centre-back Tyrone Mings is only named among the substitutes. Former West Ham Academy player Kortney Hause is Mings' replacement, while Axel Tuanzebe also misses out as Dean Smith seemingly reverts to a back four.
