Cheltenham Town loanees AYNTK

Gideon Kodua put in a strong performance up front on his first competitive start for the Hammers at the weekend and will be hoping to retain his place.

Kamarai Swyer and Divin Mubama missed out on Saturday due to injury and Robson will be hoping the duo are back available sooner rather than later.

Opposition..

Cheltenham Town sit top of Group C of the Southern Section in the Papa Johns Trophy, with two wins from two played.

The Robins have, however, endured a difficult start to the 2022/23 EFL League One Campaign. Sat 20th in the table, Cheltenham have 14 points from 13 games played.

It’s been a couple of years of consolidation in the third tier for Cheltenham, who won their first-ever EFL Title in the 2020/21 season when they achieved top spot – and promotion – from EFL League Two.

The side’s two forwards have been in decent form this campaign. Dan N’Lundulu, on loan from Southampton, has scored four goals and assisted two in 13 matches this season, as has 29-year-old Alfie May.

The Robins are managed by Wade Elliott, who took over the top job in June 2022 after two years on the coaching staff. The former AFC Bournemouth, Burnley and Birmingham City midfielder previously coached in the Bristol City and Stoke City Academies.
