Club London members enjoyed an exclusive opportunity to watch David Moyes’ West Ham United squad train at London Stadium recently.
The invited guests took in a day packed with special experiences, with a Q&A session with Hammers legends James Collins and Tony Gale kicking-off proceedings.
Assistant coach Mark Warburton was then on hand to give a pre-training briefing, before Declan Rice and his teammates were put through their paces.
Attendees were able to watch a series of drills on the London Stadium pitch as the Hammers put the hard yards in for the crucial season run-in, while the first team squad signed autographs and posed for photos at the end of the session.
Following training, it was time to hear from Moyes himself as he spoke through the work his players had put in, before Flynn Downes, Danny Ings and Jarrod Bowen gave their own insight.
It all added up to a unique experience for the Club London members, who were able to see – and hear – first hand how the team get ready for the challenges on the pitch.
Simon Covely, a BM6 member, said: “It was a really great event which gave a valuable insight into the hard work and dedication of our team and support staff. Thank you for the invite.”
Arnold Hills member Martin Webb added: “It was a great day – the event was well organised and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.”
The sentiment was echoed by Royal East Member John Waites, who commented: “A big thank you for the day, it is very much appreciated. It is good to see the football teams and hospitality teams striving for excellence on and off the pitch.”
Joseph Benjamin, Club London Business Development and Relationship Management Lead at West Ham United, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome our valued Club London members to London Stadium for this exclusive opportunity to watch the team train.
“We’re thrilled to be able to reward the members for their support with opportunities like this, which offered a unique insight into how the manager, coaches and players prepare for matches.
“It was also fantastic to be able to bring the Club London members together at London Stadium outside of a matchday, to offer networking opportunities in a relaxed environment. We can’t wait for the next event!”
