Jarrod Bowen scored on his return from a heel injury to secure a vital 2-1 win over Everton on Sunday afternoon.
The No20 had missed the previous four matches, but came back with a bang, stroking home from close range in the 58th minute after Michail Antonio had been denied by Jordan Pickford.
Just five minutes earlier a bolt from the blue from Everton’s Mason Holgate cancelled out Aaron Cresswell’s fine free-kick opener, but West Ham prevailed with Everton ending the contest a man light due to Michael Keane’s red card.
