Let’s go.
Danny Ings is a Hammer, and FPL bosses should move now to add the new Claret and Blue No18 to their squad.
With the Gameweek 21 deadline fast approaching then, Saturday 21 January at 11am GMT, here is a bonus article ahead of this week’s FPL action.
If you act quickly, Ings will surely deliver value for money!
How has Ings performed in FPL 2022/23?
The striker has recorded 51 points in 2022/23, returning double-figure Gameweek points twice this season.
The 30-year-old struck a brace in a 4-0 win over Brentford at Villa Park and also picked up three bonus points, although a yellow card took his total down to 12 for GW13. Then, in the final game before the FIFA World Cup break, a 2-1 win at Brighton & Hove Albion saw the new No18 net another brace to take his GW16 haul to 13.
With single strikes either side of those against Saturday's visitors Everton in GW3 and Wolverhampton Wanderers in GW19, Ings averages a goal every three Premier League games, as he has done throughout his top-flight career.
On average, Ings has scored a goal every 135.5 minutes this season, and a goal every 190.5 minutes in his 188 Premier League appearances.
So, the numbers suggest he is in the form of his life...!
A goal scorer and creator
Wherever Ings has gone, he has scored goals - and created goals, too. And so, FPL bosses no doubt will be watching his move to West Ham keenly.
At newly-promoted Burnley, he scored eleven and assisted four in totaling 139 FPL points in 2014/15, while he banged in a career-high 22 goals and registered two assists for Southampton on his way to 198 FPL points in 2019/20.
Ings has tallied at least 100 FPL points in four individual seasons, and a strong finish to the 2022/23 campaign for West Ham will surely make it five.
Priced at £6.4m, the experienced marksman can add real value for money to your squad.
