Our penultimate away game of the Premier League season - away to Norwich City on Sunday - is next up in Fantasy Premier League's Gameweek 36.
The business end of the season is upon us and there remains plenty to play for both on the pitch, and in the popular online game mode - so read on for this week's tips!
Bowen breaks Hammers record
With a total of six points recorded against Arsenal at London Stadium on Sunday, Jarrod Bowen's (£6.9m) 177 points this season is now West Ham United's best-ever FPL total from an individual player.
Having now bettered Dimitri Payet’s 171 in 2015/16, our brilliant No20 has scored more points than any other Hammer has in an official Fantasy Premier League season.
Classed as a Midfielder, Bowen's ten goals and 14 assists - plus an impressive haul of 19 bonus points - sees him rank as the fifth-highest scoring player in the Premier League this season, behind only Liverpool duo Mo Salah (256 points) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (202); Tottenham Hotspur's Heung-Min Son (223); and Manchester City's João Cancelo (185).
What's more, Bowen actually recorded his season-high haul of 16 points against Norwich in Gameweek 21, scoring both goals in a 2-0 win at London Stadium.
The 25-year-old has been involved in a team-high 48 per cent of West Ham’s away goals when selected, scoring two and assisting eight - so keep an eye on him at Carrow Road!
It's chip time!
A reminder that, if ever there were a time to use your chips, it’s now!
Each Fantasy manager possesses four types of chips, but it’s the Wildcard (allowing unlimited transfers) and Free Hit, which allows you to make unlimited transfers for a single Gameweek, which we’re interested in.
The potential to activate your chips and score high is big in Gameweek 36 - this week! Make a note of the transfer deadline of 1.30pm on Saturday 7 May, because no fewer than ten clubs will be playing twice.
The following week, Gameweek 37, there will also be double Gameweeks for the likes of Aston Villa, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Everton and Leicester City – with no double matches scheduled for Gameweek 38, of course.
If you haven’t yet used your two Wildcard and two Free Hit chips, now is when you absolutely must – it’s a prime opportunity to scoop up plenty of potentially season-defining points!
Opposition report – Norwich City
A season of struggle for Dean Smith's side at the bottom of the Premier League table has seen one prime FPL asset emerge: forward Teemu Pukki (£6.1m).
With a leading total of 128 points for the Canaries - the fifth-best for any Forward in the game - Pukki has been selected by 10.8 per cent of players, in recognition of his decent run of form in recent weeks.
Pukki has netted seven of his ten goals this season at Carrow Road, and has scored in three of already-relegated Norwich’s last four home matches, amassing 26 points over that period.
Those totals have seen him far outstrip nearest teammates Tim Krul (£4.5m, 88 points) and Kenny McLean (£4.9m, 69 points).
We’re nearing a winner…
In case you hadn’t heard, we’ve been inviting Claret and Blue supporters who enjoy a spot of casual FPL to take part in our own mini-league, where the top-scoring players each month are in with a chance of winning West Ham-themed rewards.
And we’re delighted to announce that we have ourselves a winner for April… it's Arianit Imami, who topped the standings for April with 392 points over four Gameweeks! Arianit also won in October - fair play!
If you’d like to throw your hat into the ring for either the May prize (I suspect, if you haven’t yet entered, your chances of the overall prize might have gone at this stage!), all you’ll need is our league code: nlz9u2 - or you just need to click this link here.
