West Ham United U18s got their involvment in the 2022 Zlatý Kahan off to a near perfect-start, with a 6-1 win over Viitorul Cluj.
The Hammers had gone a goal behind in their first group stage match of the week-long competition, but ferocious long-range strikes from Daniel Rigge and Callum Marshall, sandwiching a terrific team-move tapped home by George Earthy, gave the Irons a 3-1 advantage at half-time.
Gideon Kodua and Patrick Kelly added powerful finishes early in the second half before Blaise Uwandji completed the fine effort for Kevin Keen's side late on.
The young Hammers are participating in the 42nd prestigious Zlatý Kahan tournament in the Czech Republic, hosted by the Baník Ostrava Academy, and will play four games in five days this week as part of the pre-season tournament.
