West Ham United pair Tomáš Souček and Vladimír Coufal started as Czech Republic started their UEFA Nations League campaign in perfect style with a 2-1 victory over Switzerland on Thursday evening.
The Hammers duo played the 90 minutes at Prague's Sinobo Stadium as their side took an early lead and recovered from being pegged back to score a second half winner.
Souček skippered the side from midfield, while Coufal was deployed at right wing-back, and their team scored an eleventh minute goal through Lokomotiv Moscow's Jan Kuchta.
Switzerland hit back a minute before the break with a Noah Okafor equaliser, but Czech Republic would not be denied as Djibril Sow's own goal, 13 minutes after half-time, settled the contest.
WIth Portugal and Spain drawing in Group A2's other fixture, Czech Republic are the early group leaders, ahead of Sunday's meeting with the latter.
