West Ham United U21s put in an excellent showing to come back from two goals down and claim a 2-2 draw away to Blackburn Rovers.
A young Irons side, coming up against a Rovers team packed with mature players, put on an impressive showing against the home side, and went close in the first half with a number of chances - with Pierre Ekwah's driven effort hitting the cross-bar.
More efforts came in the second period through Will Greenidge and Regan Clayton but Blackburn took the lead on 72 minutes when Harry Leonard squeezed in a left-footed strike at the near post.
It seemed the Hammers were on their way to defeat 90 second later, when Blackburn added a second through Dillan Markanday, who found the net via the underside of the cross-bar, but Callum Marshall gave the visitors hope with his first goal for the U21s on 83 minutes.
Clayton completed the fightback at the conclusion of a stunning team move, earning the Irons a point they more than deserved for their efforts.
