Will Greenidge plays against Brighton & Hove Albion

Highlights: Brighton & Hove Albion 3-2 U21s

West Ham United U21s fell to a 3-2 defeat away to Brighton & Hove Albion in Saturday's Premier League 2 fixture.

Heading into the game with three changes to the side that beat EFL League One team Cheltenham Town in midweek, the Hammers almost took the lead through Remy Coddington's curling strike after just a couple of minutes.

Brighton took the lead on 20 minutes as Andrew Moran capitalised on an error to slot home for the home team, before George Earthy struck level for the Irons just minutes later with his first goal for the U21s.

The Seagulls had a 2-1 lead at half-time thanks to Luca Barrington, who stabbed in a low effort, but the Irons were again on level terms just minutes into the second-half thanks to Pierre Ekwah's penalty.

However, Brighton would get the third goal and, subsequently, all three points when Jack Hinswelwood pounced on a loose ball to poke in for the hosts.
